As the new year begins, it is inevitable that new innovations in various fields will arise. For the field of cosmetic treatments, there are a number of new procedures and techniques that will be ones to watch as the new year gets underway. Today, we’ll take a look at three of them that we believe are among the most noteworthy.
1. Fillers: The eyes have it
Now, why would we be including a mention of fillers on our list of new cosmetic treatments? The reason is these fillers are going where no others have gone before. These are for the eyes. There is a growing trend that leans toward using fillers to actually shape the eyes as opposed to the old tried and true method of simply removing fat in the eye areas in order to reduce eye bags. Just a bit of filler on both eyelids, the upper and the lower, could help to replace the volume that is lost due to aging.
2. A better Botox?
The second big trend on our list might also surprise you. Botox has been around for a long time and is the most popular injectable out there right now. In 2018, some doctors are predicting a new injectable that would eventually replace Botox in OKC and around the country at the top of the heap. There is no word on what it will be or when it will be introduced, but keep your eyes and ears open on this one for sure.
3. Put fat in the freezer
The final trend in our list of new cosmetic treatments is also a throwback to older methods. We all know about liposuction and the other myriad treatments for getting rid of unwanted fat. In 2018, a new and noninvasive procedure is on the horizon. This one, known as cryolipolysis, or fat freeze, is accomplished by freezing fat cells in a targeted area. This, in turn, leads to shrinkage of the cells which then allows the body to expel them over a period of months or even just weeks. This one could turn out to be safer and easier than lipo and other fat treatments, so keep your eyes on this one too.
