Tighten Skin and Minimize Signs of Aging with ThermiTight

ThermiTight

As a person ages, gravity and other external forces begin to affect the appearance of their face. Skin around the neck and on the face start to sag.

There are multiple surgical procedures that are commonly used to address these issues. While many of them are effective, there are many people who avoid these procedures because they are worried about any negative side effects invasive surgery can bring.

For these individuals, the minimally invasive ThermiTight procedure is the perfect fix.

What is ThermiTight?

ThermiTight is a new technology that is used to tighten sagging skin on the face and on the neck, as well as other parts of the body using a micro-invasive procedure that relies on radio frequency waves.

In this procedure, RF energy is used to heat the underside of the skin surface. The result is that the skin contracts and tightens loose skin.

Since the procedure is minimally invasive, it can be performed on a person using local anesthesia, and it can be done with little or no downtime.

While the procedure is primarily performed on a person’s face or neck, ThermiTight has also been effective in other areas of the body including the abdomen, the upper arms, and the breasts.

How is ThermiTight Performed?

The first step is numbing the skin with a local anesthesia. Then, a very small incision is made in the surface of the skin. Next, the ThermiTight electrode is inserted below the skin surface. The electrode is approximately the size of a needle, so the patient does not need stitches after the procedure is performed.

The electrode is then hit with RF energy. On the tip of the electrode is a device for measuring the temperature underneath the skin. Only a small amount of RF energy is delivered to heat skin tissue to a safe temperature.

An external video camera is used as a secondary safety measure. It monitors the external temperature of the skin.

How Long Do the Results Last?

ThermiTight produces gradual results that last for a long time. The treatment itself takes about one hour.

Most patients see gradual results that continue to improve over the course of multiple years. It has allowed patients to put off surgical procedures like a facelift or neck lift.

Depending on the severity of the problem, some patients may require multiple procedures to get to the level of improvement they desire.

What are the Potential Side Effects?

Because the entire process has a multi-layer safety feature built-in, side effects are very unlikely. The skin’s temperature is monitored internally and externally to prevent any damage. Just about any patient can safely use ThermiTight.

Patients who have undergone the procedure have experienced increased satisfaction with their appearance, increased self-confidence, and the ability to live the life they have always wanted. If you’re interested in ThermiTight, contact Mariposa MedSpa today to make an appointment.
