Skin tightening is growing in popularity as people desire to boost their self-confidence by improving their appearance. Skin tightening can be a non-invasive or minimally-invasive way to improve the skin and reverse the signs of aging. Best of all, you don’t have to go under the knife.
At Mariposa MedSpa – with locations in Oklahoma City and Edmond – we offer four different types of skin tightening procedures: Ultherapy, ThermiTight, ThermiSmooth and Titan. We can help you determine the right procedure for you depending on the area you’d like to treat. If you’re ready to get into your best body ever, contact Mariposa MedSpa today to schedule your skin tightening consultation.
Use Skin Tightening to Reduce the Signs of Aging
If you want to smooth out wrinkles or reduce the signs of skin tone and dark spots, you should consider skin tightening. Ultherapy is a non-surgical alternative to a facelift, and is designed to tighten the skin around the face for a more youthful appearance. This can help smooth out wrinkles and sagging skin to reveal a refreshed and rejuvenated face.
Minimally-Invasive Procedures
Our laser skin tightening procedures are minimally invasive. Laser skin tightening is one of the minimally invasive procedures that works by heating the collagen under the skin with a laser. This causes the skin to tighten. For this approach to work, it may require two or three treatments with each treatment a month apart. The method is approved by the FDA and has been proven to reduce fine lines, skin laxity, and wrinkles. The results are moderate and have little or no downtime.
Know How the Procedure Will Go
Before receiving a skin treatment session, a patient should remove all you sunscreens, oils, and makeup. A topical anesthetic cream will be applied to the area before the procedure, but no further anesthetic will be required. If you have a particularly low tolerance for pain, a pain medication may be recommended before treatment begins.
A highly trained professional – like one of our staff at Mariposa MedSpa – should administer the treatment. There will be brief pulses of laser energy delivered to the surface of the skin. During the procedure, a continuous burst of cool air will ensure that the patients remain comfortable during the procedure. Most patients require at least three sessions for the best results, and each session will, typically, last from 30 minutes to an hour.
After the Session
Most patients are able to resume work immediately after a session is complete. The side effects are minimal, and patients may feel a warm sensation, redness, or minor swelling. In about three hours, most of the side effects of the procedure will subside. The most successful candidates will experience permanent results after undergoing the treatment. It’s a safe and effective way to reduce the signs of aging.
